My biggest gripes with this action platformer concern the temperamental physics, repetitive maps, and lengthy Phantom Abyss Gameplay load times.

However, various restrictions in each dungeon go beyond simple obstacles like traps and spikes. These could be limited health, one-hit kills, or a temple Guardian: an ancient deity that chases you across the map trying to kill you. These restrictions are what keep you on your toes.
Phantom Abyss is an asynchronous multiplayer title, which in practice means that while the game is technically multiplayer and lots of players are competing for the same relic in the same temple, non-e of the players seen in the level are live.
